What Fun!
You may be captured for posterity and you will never quite know when or where you will see yourself! Our lawyers slipped us a note with this info: Your attendance at the 2010 Simply Youth Ministry Conference grants Group Publishing, Inc. and Doug Fields’ Simply Youth Ministry (and employees and assigns) the right to videotape, record, and photograph you; and to use your image, voice, silhouette, and any other reproductions of your physical likeness in any advertising, publicizing, motion picture, recording, or other forms of multimedia without any compensation. Thank you.

Cancellation of Registrations
If your plans change after you register, you can substitute a guest at no additional charge. You may cancel up to 30 days prior to the conference for a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee per person. No refunds can be given for no-shows or cancellation within 30 days of the event.

Cancellation of the Conference

Group has never had to cancel a major conference because of bad weather. In the event that bad weather would cause our conference facility or hotel to close, the safety of our participants and staff are our first priorities. If bad weather significant enough to cancel the conference is likely, we will update conference participants by email and update the conference website with the convention status. If the conference were to be cancelled in its entirety, Group would automatically register participants for the next year. If the customer requests, we would provide a full refund of the registration fee.

Toby Mac

Toby Mac

TobyMac is more than just your run-of-the-mill triple threat. On one hand he ranks among the most successful artists in Christian music history in terms of radio success, sales power and critical acclaim. On the other he is universally recognized as a creative force, an artistic maverick and a prophetic voice for racial reconciliation, social justice and a fierce devotion to faith and family. On the third hand, he’s the most humble and approachable merchant of cool on the scene today. Yeah; that’s three hands. Some things defy common logic.
His solo career took off from the first notes, with two GOLD albums, six Number One singles, two Grammy nominations and widespread critical acclaim. So obviously, when it comes time for a new TobyMac record to drop, there are a lot of people paying attention. His rampant eclecticism and consistent excellence have set the bar very high, and on his third solo outing, Portable Sounds, he does not disappoint. An increased commitment to melody and soulful singing abounds, while his now trademarked rock/funk/hip-hop side hits deeper grooves and catchier hooks than ever before.
But to hear TobyMac talk about the passion and drive he has for this, his third solo outing, it sounds like all that was just the wind-up, and Portable Sounds is the pitch.
As a result, a new lyrical flavor developed on a few of Portable’s tracks.
“I wanted to write a few songs that were simply prayers,” says Toby. “Over the years I have noticed some consistency in what I appeal to God for, like… ‘Help me remember what this is all about…God I don’t want to be that jaded man. I don’t want to be that hardened artist. I want to remain soft in your hands, so that you can shape me into a vessel that you can breathe through.’ My fight is to remain fresh, unjaded, where I’m not looking through hollow eyes, but I’m looking at things like they’re new again. I expected amazing things while recording this record. I’m not talking about sales or first week numbers or critics. I’m talking about people’s lives being touched by this music God is breathing through me. The wonder of it all remains and at any moment I want to be transported into uncharted recording waters not relying on my own understanding. That is why I continue to be passionate. I’m forever counting on what He’ll do.” Check out: http://www.tobymac.com/

Nicole Mullen

Nicole C. Mullen

A Cincinnati native who got her start singing in church, Nicole C. Mullen’s ability to relate her experiences and celebrate her relationship with God in a way that has universal appeal has been a hallmark of her distinguished career. Mullen’s won multiple Gospel Music Association Dove Awards including Female Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. In addition to the accolades she’s won for her musical gifts, Mullen is also well known for her tender heart. She established The Baby Girls Club, which mentors and encourages young women. She also supports the International Needs Network, an organization that works to free the Trokosi slaves in Ghana. It’s that heart for people that forms the music on her latest release, A Dream to Believe In, Volume 2. “A lot of ideas come from conversations that I’ve had after concerts,” Mullen says of the inspiration for her songs. “That’s always been my favorite part of the night, singing on stage and then being able to talk to those who are actually listening and get feedback from them. I live a similar life to them. I have a different job, but there are things that are common. I have heartache. I have pain. I have laughter, the same emotions. These songs are my way of saying that in the midst of the routines of life, this is where I see God walk in. These are my experiences in life. These are my victories and hopefully they can help you.” Check out: http://nicolecmullen.com/
